sesame street

When Mr. Rogers was on the Diane Rehm show some years ago, my mom and I cried through the whole thing because geez...it was Mr. Rogers.

I found myself similarly situated yesterday while Diane and her guest Michael Davis discussed his new book, Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street

Because geez...it's Sesame Street

Me three!! When I got to work, I spent time on wikipedia reading about Sesame Street and then proceeded to look up youtube videos.

I was most stoked on the fact that the original Barkley called in! I LOVED Barkley! Also, the skit about skinging in the shower is an all-time fav.

Crap, I mispelled "singing". I meant singing in the shower. "Skinging" in the shower would just be nonsense. ;)

This is good stuff. This is why I am in the business that I am in. I would love to make stuff like this that is emotionally durable. I'll have to find this on the web somewhere.

we used to sing "one of these things is not like the other" to Mike. How's that for family love?
That blonde kid just didn't fit with the other 3 that were "kinda the same."
